I don't understand the process of aerobic respiration?

If Mitochondria is an organelle, and ATP is a molecule, then how can Mitochondria create ATP? I know it uses glucose and oxygen. But according to the heirarchy of life, Mitochondria is larger than ATP. Can someone explain this to me?
