Found swollen lymph node left side of neck upper/under jaw. I am 16 yrs.?

Swollen lymph nodes occur when there is a mild infection in the head/neck area. They kill germs and when they do this, they swell up. Once you are well, the swelling goes back down. This is what they are supposed to do and is normal.
